After six years of teaching a variety of undergraduate courses and leading writing workshops I have developed numerous strategies for engaging and challenging my pupils. My methodology is student centered, working from the proficiencies and interests each student already has. I concentrate on the key critical thinking skills which are necessary to succeed at each level of education.
As well as working with older pupils I also have experience working one on one with children in both key stage one and two. The combination of these two roles has made me patient, flexible, and enthusiastic about helping every student reach their goals.
I have taught courses in art history, aesthetics, and cultural theory, and I have given workshops dedicated to improving reading comprehension, essay development, and argumentation. My doctorate specialized in environmental aesthetics, English literature, and cultural geography.

Samantha is dedicated and hard working. Her creativity and in-depth subject knowledge enables her to tailor the learning to the student with whom she is interacting and she is regarded in the highest esteem by both her colleagues and her students. She understands the process of teaching and learning and is able to apply a sound pedagogical approach when developing her pupils understanding.
I have both lectured to large groups at the undergraduate level and worked one on one with students entering university and children preparing for exams at key stage one and two. Within those two groups I have taught students with a range of different skill levels and ambitions, from improving basic reading and comprehension skills to attaining better results in order to enter university or graduate school.
