Mathematics can be a challenging subject and it can hurt a student's confidence when they aren't getting the sufficient attention needed in the classroom to help them progress. I aim to tailor my lessons to the needs of each individual student, working through problems until they feel 100% confident with handling them independently.
Tutoring is done on a one-to-one basis in order to allow for complete personalisation of every lesson. First, we would find out which areas the student is having issues with, to ensure that we tackle the right concepts straight away. Every school uses a different exam board, so their syllabuses may differ. For this reason, working with the student using the textbook provided by their school/past papers (depending on their goals) is an effective way to ensure that they get the most out of my lessons and feel more confident when they go back to the classroom.

I have helped primary school age students in the classroom as a teaching assistant and I have previously offered maths tuition to an A-Level student, helping them to raise their grade from a D to a B so that they could enrol at their university of choice. I care about helping students to feel happier in their academic lives so that they can reach their potential.
Studied up to A-Level mathematics.
