I'm a first year Music undergraduate looking to teach guitar to anyone. I play all styles, acoustic, electric, jazz and classical, although have a preference for electric. I predominantly teach face to face, although am willing to do online tutoring. The lessons vary depending on the needs of the pupil, for example; if grades are an aspiration I would split the lesson into pieces, scales, sight reading and theory. However, I appreciate that this plan would vary per student.
I have taught several younger students at my previous school on an informal basis, as well as one peer at Bristol. Lessons consisted of technical and harmonic analysis, with the predominant theme being song-writing, as well as general guitar technique.
I am a first-year student studying music at Bristol University. Being hard-working and driven has allowed me to pursue my passion for music to a very high standard. In addition, having previously worked in the service industry, I understand the importance of good social skills and how it is crucial to be able to work as part of a team to achieve your goals.
