I aim to incorporate all 4 elements of the GCSE and A-Level syllabus equally into my teaching (writing, speaking, reading and listening). I try to make students feel as comfortable as possible in my lessons by first asking them which area of the syllabus they would like to focus on. After our initial meeting, I will then create my own tailor-made resources for the student, taking inspiration from past examination papers, authentic resources and news articles in the language, for example. After each lesson, I will set the student a short task, which will help them to consolidate what they have learnt or covered within that particular lesson. I understand that these lessons are supplementary to their school teaching so I do not expect the student to ever spend more than 30 minutes on each task.
I am offering lessons for A-Level and GCSE students who are studying Italian or Russian and will also tutor GCSE students who are studying French. I am also willing to tutor students who are completing their undergraduate degree or those who simply learning a new language for fun! When getting in contact, please state your current level and how many years you have been studying the language!
I am a current student at the University of Bristol, working towards a degree in Italian & Russian. I have a particularly strong grounding in grammar, which is shown through my first-class marks in my 2nd year language exams.
I have a B2/C1 level in Italian, thanks to my 4-month internship abroad in Brescia, working in a translation firm. I also have a strong level of Russian, having recently spent just under a month studying Russian at Tomsk State University. I also studied both French and Italian throughout my time at school so am aware of what it takes to succeed in GCSE and A-Level exams.

I had to liaise with other staff members in Italian on a daily basis, as well as meet specific deadlines when translating for external clients, translating up to 15,000 characters in 8 hours.
