My teaching methodology varies with each student I teach as I know that every student is different when it comes to learning. I strategise each lesson to cater to how the student learns, which increases productivity and maximises learning to ensure that you are getting the most out of the lesson.
As a fourth year Chemical Engineering student, I have a wide variety of skills involving mathematics. With an in depth knowledge in the subject, I have the ability to explain the meaning behind each calculation and working out. I believe that this is a vital part in a student's learning as they are not simply memorising methods in which they answer questions, but it gives them an opportunity to understand why the steps they are doing are necessary in obtaining the final answer.
Always being involved in mentoring, I aspire to help those younger than me to help their knowledge flourish in order for them to be successful in the real world. With this in mind, I give advice on how to prepare better for exams and everything of that sort. Having completed my Key Stage 2 and 3 as one of the top students, I believe that I carry the ability to give advice about preparation for exams and studying well in advance.
As the President for Hull University's Engineering Society, I have accomplished many great things and this includes helping others reach their full potential through the use of Design Competitions. This was initiated in a way in which younger students can make use of and improve their skills in order to make themselves more appealing to employers. With this in mind, I am able to apply the same to any student of mine; making sure that they are fully equipped with the knowledge to pass their exams and be ready for higher education, if they choose to do so.
