I enjoy teaching students by working through example questions after a basic explanation of the background theory.
With this interactive approach, I encourage students to ask questions as much as possible while they gain experience in working through problems which gradually increase in difficulty.
Additionally, I provide videos where I systematically work through problems sent to me by the student, explaining my thought process at each step, and if there are any tricks to help remember certain methods.
Rates are the same for all student levels, but may need to be negotiated if there is significant travel involved. If the lesson is cancelled within 24 hours of the start time, a £6 cancellation fee will be implemented (unless it is feasible to reschedule the lesson during the same day).
Hello. I am a 5th year Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Glasgow who focuses primarily on modules and research involving mathematics, physics and biology.
I have been tutoring for two years and have gained experience when tutoring both individual/groups of students preparing for GSCE's, and for final year exams at university. This has ranged from explaining background theory, deriving equations, completing worked examples, assessing work, looking for common errors and finding ways for the student to complete complex problems more efficiently.
