I tend to teach younger pupils but will happily teach older pupils aspiring to play guitar. I would be providing a one on one teaching experience so that i can focus on your playing and help you to progress further.
I am very effective at teaching the basics and more advanced techniques of guitar playing. This spans genres including rock/metal to jazz. I would also be teaching theory but I feel as if there should be a stronger focus on the person's ability to play effectively and efficiently.
No person is the same, so throughout the tutoring I will be working close with you to ensure you grow in a way that you desire. The songs that you will learn and the techniques will all be chosen by you under my guidance.
As I am studying Electrical Engineering at University I will be only available on most evenings, which will be convenient to students which are in education or are working day jobs.
It would be preferable for student to have their own instruments.
I often give lessons to friends and family and recently started teaching 1st year pupils guitar. I play and can teach acoustic, electric and bass guitar covering any genre that requested by the student. I hold an A in music at National 5.
I have also played in bands and the local guitar ensemble.
I hold a National 5 music certificate at an A level among many other qualifications. I have played guitar for 7 years and have applied this to many different bands and lessons. I have plenty of experience teaching people of all sorts of ability.
I am studying towards an Electrical Engineering BEng degree currently.
I build my own guitars so I am familiar with guitars in a musical and luthier sense.
