- Tell me about your qualifications.
I am currently studying for a Master's degree on the Cello at the Royal Academy of Music.
I have already gained a GRNCM qualification on the Cello at the Royal Northern College of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Manchester.
- How much do you charge?
Cello: £35 per hour
Chamber Music: £35 per hour
Piano: £20 per hour
Academic Music prices vary from £10 - £25 per hour depending on the student's level
- Where do you teach?
I am based in Wallington, Surrey, SM6.
I am able to travel around London easily should it be more convenient for you to be taught at your own home (this will involve an additional charge to cover my travel expenses).
- When are you available?
I am very flexible with lesson times so contact me and we can find a time that suits us both!
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I have experiene of teaching all ages and abilities.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I use the ABRSM or Trinity exams up to diploma level. My past and present students have a 100% distinction rate in these exams. It is also important to recognise that exams aren't for everyone and I am happy to teach without regular exams.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught privately for many years, teaching students ranging from the age of 3 to an 83 year old!! I currently teach at Sheffield Music Academy, where I teach Cello, Piano, Chamber Music and coach the String Orchestra.
