As a professional working in training and coaching, I can adapt my teaching to suit a number of different learning styles, and have an understanding of key learning theories and how to get the most from my students. I have learned with experience that different approaches will suit different people, and so I am happy to adapt my tutoring to suit whatever is best for the student, be that textbook-based, practical examples, or mock exams. I am also more than willing to create and provide additional learning and study materials if required.
I have been working in a training and coaching environment for over 10 years, and have significant experience of helping people achieve results in the workplace. The majority of people that I have trained have been younger people aged 18-21, and so tutoring school students is not unfamiliar to me.
I have seven Scottish Standard Grades (GCSE equivalent) at grades A and B, including A's in English and Mathematics; five Scottish Higher Grades (A-Level equivalent) at grades A to C, including an A in English and a B in Mathematics; and an Honours degree in Accountancy with Business Studies. I also hold a professional qualification in Insurance.
