I am a 19 year old Accounting and Business student who caters to the needs of maths student up to GCSE level. My lesson structure would ideally be to address the areas in which the student currently finds challenging and to show them the easiest and simplest way to get to the answer. I believe the best way for a child to learn is through practice examples and this is something I will definitely stress during sessions.
I am more than capable to help students reach the best level they can as I got an A in GCSE maths and a B in AS-level. I currently volunteer in a secondary school in Reading as a maths volunteer and I'm very good at working with kids and getting the best out of them.
The rate will be set at £12 an hour if the student is able to come to my home for the tutoring session. If they would like me to travel to their home, there will be an additional charge of £3 to equate for travel expenses. Furthermore, purchasing multiple hours upfront will save you money in the long run.
GCSE Maths qualification obtained in 2015: Grade A
AS-level Maths qualification obtained in 2017: Grade B
Current degree: Accounting and Business at the University of Reading, First year student
My work experience includes over 6 weeks of work experience in a small accounting firm in Leeds which requires a lot of number and statistical skills related to the type of maths seen at GCSE and AS-level. I'm also currently volunteering as a maths volunteer at a secondary school in Reading.
