From a very young age, I developed an interest in money management and the skills needed to do this; I enjoyed saving money in a piggy bank to help purchase a new toy. Also, playing the role of ‘shop lady’ fulfilled my desire of handling money and running a business. Reflecting upon this now, this enabled me to visualise how maths plays an important role in day to day life. The adrenaline rush that coursed through my body the first time I solve a complicated algebraic equation was my moment of realisation - the career I would pursue. The challenging and often quite difficult problem-solving questions became a language of their own. This, and the skills acquired in a business classroom are beneficial to any job, employer or individual, so I have enhanced my problem solving and critical thinking skills. Hence, I would relish the opportunity to provide other students with the skills I have obtained.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading and playing Sudoku which helps to exercise my arithmetic and deducing abilities. To keep fit, I like to go gym and power-walk over long distances.Overall, the experiences I have gained throughout my college life have caused me to become a well-rounded individual with a positive outlook on life. Using the knowledge I have gained I am determined,
motivated, hard working to ensure my students become successful.
