I relate my teaching with the industrial experience. First I give a brief introduction about the topic. follow by a website information and finally, give explanation and real life examples to finish my lesson. Lastly, do an example with me and home work.
First 24 years i was a design engineer follow by 13 years of international marketing with many blue chip companies. Last 10 year teaching up to A levels Physics and Mathematics. I set up electronic A level course at Bsix college.

SEKIO EPSON-: Marketing and Business Development Manager - USA, India, Singapore & European
Key responsibilities are to develop new business opportunities, market plans, and value propositions and evaluate competitor products within the audio semiconductor arena whilst leading our product marketing activities for all the devices designed at the IC Design Centre in Livingston, Scotland. This has involved supporting tier one companies like Nokia, TI, Siemens, LG and Samsung.
I have developed new previously unaddressed vertical markets for our audio encoders and speech products which resulted in over $26 million worth of business in the mobile and assistive sector over three years. i.e. Audio decoder chip for Siemens mobile.
In India worked with company called “Mosebaer” one of the leading designing of CD/DVD products.
In addition I have more recently developed relationships with 20 new companies within Intelligent Toys, Industrial and automotive markets for the new range of new IC’s - Text to Speech, Speech Recognition and Audio Encoders. Key customer relationships include Leapfrog, Ikerlan, Electrolux and Lego.
2002 – 2003 I initial joined Epson and was based at the Scottish design centre, whilst it went through its start up phase. I was responsible for the strategic and tactical marketing of a range of IC’s in the speech and audio product arena, initially Baseband. Roles included product roadmap, product planning, exhibitions etc.
April 2001 – 2002 Silaria (start-up fables semiconductor company)
Position: European Marketing & Business Development Manager
Responsible for developing new business with the vertical market of Networking and Wireless. My role involved technical presentations, business development and proposing technical solutions. Silaria developed a configurable microprocessor from 4 bits to 256bits. The IP was sold to two networking customers. The business was over $1.5M plus royalty.
I was first person to join them marketing and developed marketing strategy and explained technically, the IP business model.
With CEO prepared and presented a business model to Capital Ventures for funds. After presenting a business case money was received for one year..
2000 – March 2001
Position: Intellectual Proprietary (IP) Business development Manager
Develop business within the automotive and consumer market. I was working with ARM and graphic IP, Integrating SoC solution. The chip was for the in car entertainment. With one aircraft navigate
company a contract worth £750K was achieved. In USA with few MoD companies an IP business was developed. Several small business won in UK and Europe in total £100k.

Responsible for three main areas pre-sale, post sale and technical marketing. Identify potential customers prepare technical and marketing presentations. Supported customers with front and back end design using Compass CAD tools. Liasing with HQ in Korea to solve problems. Providing technical solutions from specification level.
