I met Marina in the neighbourhood and attended her play in the local theatre. I was very impressed by her performance.
I watched Marina play different roles that had nothing to do with one another. She adapted each role completely as if she was transformed to a different person. If I hadn't met her before I would be in doubt if that was the same person. One moment she was a preeminent Cleopatra and the next she was a next-door teacher liaising with imaginary pupils. Also she somehow performed an effortless monologue balancing out emphasis and exaggeration. Marina has a talent and passion for theatre and is a natural performer. Lovely personality I believe she can guide other students to embrace their potential.
Marina helped me prepare for the audition of the ArtsEd annual foundation course in Musical Theatre. Her invaluable guidance not only did it help me succeed in the audition, but also it opened my horizons in the way of approaching any text. By encouraging me to deviate from the obvious approaches, Marina helped me explore alternative routes into attributing intentions and emotions in relation to text and content. I am grateful for her insight and I highly recommend her as a tutor and as a person.
I have worked on Marina on several occasions and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend her. She has directed me in a play and we have also worked together on various voiceover jobs. Always professional and punctual, very clear in what she wants and very good in conveying it. Really calm and full of positive energy.
