- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Students are able to play for fun or work towards Trinity Guildhall Graded Exams.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
Its very lonely learning an instrument by yourself and having to find the time to practice. I have found that, since running the adult courses, that the students like the group socialising as much as the playing, and many of my students go round each others houses to practice. We often go out and watch other players perform... Learning takes place in a fun, social atmosphere and I endeavour to get all my students to play in a small performance.
- All Levels
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching for over 14 years, and in the last 13 years have successfully been running Adult Saxophone Courses.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I hold a Full Enhanced DBS. This is very important as during the day I also teach in a Primary School.

At least 70% of my students are retired and are following their lifetime dream to play the saxophone!
