- What kind of experience do you have?
I am a qualified teacher and have taught students from the ages of 11 to 18 in a varied range of secondary schools. I work with students of all abilities and manage to identify and deal with weaknesses well. In terms of supporting student learning, I integrate formative and summative assessment methods. This enables me to monitor consistent progress and also allows students to access ownership over their own learning.
I also have extensive relevant experience in the business environment, using German at a high business level for over four years. Having previously lived and worked in Germany, I can help existing language learners build a bridge to implement their current skills in the working world. This includes writing formal letters, emails, preparing for interviews, press releases, doing presentations etc., taking into account the social and cultural environment of the workplace.
