I teach the flute, recorder, piano and also academic subjects. Everyone is welcome!

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I teach the flute, recorder and piano.

I tutor Maths, Music, Economics and Spanish to A-Level. I tutor these subjects and several others to GCSE level.

I also offer music theory lessons up to grade 8.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

I have a BA Honours degree in Music from the University of Oxford. I am currently studying for a Masters at the Royal College of Music in London.

At school I obtained 9 A*s and I A at GCSEs and 4 As at A-Level.

French (A*); Spanish (A*); Geography (A*); Music (A*); Physics (A*); Biology (A*); Maths (A*); Latin (A*); English Literature (A); English Language (A*)

A Levels:
Maths (A), Music (A), Economics (A), Spanish (A)

- How much do you charge?

I charge £15 for a half an hour lesson and £25 for an hour-long lesson.

- Where do you teach?

I can teach either at my house in Richmond or at your house - whatever works best for you! I am very happy to travel within London.

- When are you available?

I am flexible during the week and at weekends.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I teach both flute and recorder for all ages and levels. I also have experience teaching beginner piano and clarinet.

- Do you have a personal message for students?

I am an extremely approachable and enthusiastic person. I find teaching very rewarding and enjoy helping people achieve their goals. I am incredibly passionate about music. I have established a wide repertoire during my music degree and I thoroughly enjoy sharing this with others.

About Alex

- What kind of experience do you have?

I have been teaching people of all ages for several years. I have taught absolute beginners at sessions such as FUNharmonics 'Have a go' with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and also much more advanced pupils (up to grade 8 and beyond). I have also taught students within schools as part of a music service.

- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?

- Where and with whom did you train?

I studied my undergraduate degree at the University of Oxford. Prior to this, I studied at Trinity College of Music and learnt with the internationally-renowned flautist Wissam Boustany. I also trained in Siena at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana with Patrick Gallois

I am currently studying for a Masters at the Royal College of Music. My teachers are Jaime Martin (principal flautist of the London Philharmonic Orchestra) and Katie Bedford (principal flautist of English National Opera).
