I have been part of various musical workshops for young children, such as Jingle Jam; a workshop run by jazz singer Emily Dankworth for toddlers beginning to learn the basics of music. I have helped on the Guildhall Jazz Summer School and worked with young musicians to perform at Barbican Centre alongside the Lincoln Centre Jazz Orchestra. I record regularly for Decca records as a classical and pop pianist. I also work around London within a variety of ensembles at venues such as Ronnie Scott's, the Vortex, Camden Jazz Cafe, and Pizza Express Jazz Club.

One of my students James (8 years old), who I teach in Bethnal Green, has recently passed with merit is grade 1 exam and grade 1 theory with only 1 mark deducted. He's currently training to be a chorister so we use singing in the lessons to inform his piano playing. Another student I've been teaching is an adult pupil called Barry, preparing him for his ABRSM piano diploma currently awaiting results.

I've taught alongside Alex in group workshop settings, and have found him to be a passionate and engaging teacher who consistently gets the best out of his pupils. As an esteemed performer in his own right, his talent and love for music is infectious. Highly recommended
An extremely skilled musician and excellent teacher.
I've known Alex for a long time, we studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama together. He has an eclectic taste in music, and is a versatile musician (he plays piano, accordion, harmonium, composes, records and sings). He is a great accompanist too, he has helped me with lots of exams at music college. He's also a lovely guy! Highly recommend
