Alexandra was an extremely friendly, supportive and patient mentor ... and as a result of support from Alexandra, Kathryn's confidence grew and she started to achieve higher grades in her English lessons. She has just completed her GCSE exams, gaining an A* in English literature and an A in English, and is planning to study English Literature at A level in September.
I am extremely grateful to the time Alexandra spent with Kathryn and cannot recommend her highly enough.Alex worked with my very shy 16yr old in preparation for his French oral GCSE. Stringing a sentence together ... in another language was something I thought impossible. Alex had no such doubts and not only did my son thoroughly enjoy the sessions, he passed his exam with flying colours.
Alex took my two very different children and showed them the joy and fun in learning. I have no hesitation in recommending her.Mark was struggling to decide which university course to apply for...Alex worked with him on two occasions and left him feeling much more confident and inspired about writing his personal statement...Mark received an unconditional offer to read Economics at the University of Exeter...
When working with young people, Alex is able to put them at their ease and her approach makes it possible for them to tackle tasks that they would otherwise find too difficult or daunting. I recommend her highly.Alex was always flexible in her approach in order to fit in with my specific requirements.
I found the sessions to be both enjoyable and beneficial, as Alex is a very open and approachable teacher who clearly knows her subjects very well and I would not hesitate in recommending her to others.View more recommendations
