With over 10 years of singing teaching experience, I've been fortunate in my career to have facilitated major vocal and personal transformations. This is why I absolutely love my job. From vocal breaks, over straining, disembodied voices to a fully embodied, confident voice, it is my job to help you reconnect with your true voice. In my classes, students have major emotional releases, releasing blockages that can quite literally freeze the voice in to the body. Using breath work, body work and vocal techniques I have a holistic approach at freeing voices.
'Persona', if you break this word down to it's components you have the latin words 'per' 'sona' meaning 'by' and 'sound'. Our persona is quite literally the sound that we present to the world. Sometimes our speaking voice can have a negative impact on our singing voice and vice versa. Many of my students come to me not only for their singing voice but to reconnect with their authentic speaking voice also. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions.
A bit about my background. Although I studied at one of the top conservatoires and music schools in the country (The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Wells Cathedral School and Salisbury Cathedral School). The problem I had was the very mechanical approach to the way that I was taught, in fact I had major vocal breaks in my voice that none of my teachers could fix. It was a fairly emotional time. Here I am in these prestigious schools with well-known teachers feeling imposter syndrome, like 'how on earth did I manage to get here!?' Desperately hoping no-one else would notice, I spent a lot of time avoiding certain songs and stayed in my safe zone. Fast forward to now and I see these issues as a blessing as they sent me on an enCHANTing journey. I realised that vocal technique is only 30% of the puzzle and that major transformations come from combining body work breath work and letting go of trapped energy in the body. This may sound a bit strange but it's great fun and very liberating when you get in to the sway of it!

Hello and thank you for stopping by,
There's nothing more rewarding for me than seeing the huge and rapid shifts that my students go through. Although I studied at some of the top UK conservatoires I had a lot of problems with my voice so I spent many years researching in to different ways to create vocal freedom. I believe it's due to this journey that I'm able to successfully guide my students in their own development in a way that feels quick, easy and fun.
