About the lesson

I am a young, enthusiastic and approachable biology teacher available to tutor Standard Grade and Higher Biology. I am experienced in preparing students for SQA exams and able to tailor my teaching to meet the individual requirements of each student.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I tutor Standard Grade and Higher Biology, although I am experienced in teaching all levels of Biology - from Intermediate 1 to Advanced Higher.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

I have a BSc (Hons) in Genetics, and a PGDE (Biology with Science), both obtained from the University of Glasgow.

- How much do you charge?

I charge £25 per hour, and would consider discounts for longer sessions/group bookings.

- Where do you teach?

I tutor in the West End of Glasgow, but would consider travelling further depending on your location. I also tutor from home (St Georges Cross) in a quiet and spacious flat.

- When are you available?

I am available throughout the week and can offer additional sessions during school holidays and prior to NABs, exams, etc. I can discuss my availability upon contact.

- What kind of experience do you have?

I have taught in a number of schools, ranging from very mixed ability to very high-attaining, and am now employed permanently by a school known for its excellent results. I have tutored Standard Grade and Higher throughout my career, and my tutees have ranged from those struggling to meet the demands of the course to those striving to achieve A’s in the final exam.
