I am an experienced teacher and tutor who has successfully helped many students gain confidence, improve their skills, increase their enjoyment of the subject and fulfil their potential.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach secondary English language and literature, French, Spanish and EFL. IÂ´m currently studying an MSc in child development and looking to work with students with special education needs including autism, aspergers, dyslexia, gifted and talented.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have an MA in French and Psychology (2.1) from the University of St Andrews. I am also a qualified Spanish-English translator with the Institute of Linguists and have a CELTA qualification for teaching English as a foreign language. A-levels in English Literature, French, Media Studies at grade A 9 GCSEs at grade A and additional maths distinction.
- How much do you charge?
I charge reasonable rates depending on preparation and travel time, costs and day/time/duration of class. Generally £30-35 for the first hour and £20 each hour after that. IÂ´m happy to teach groups at a similar hourly rate plus materials.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at students' homes and online in and around London.
- When are you available?
My general availability is 8am-8pm Mon-Wed and Fri and every other Saturday depending on current classes. I am also available during the school holidays.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am experienced in teaching all secondary ages and both children and adults from beginners to advanced levels.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
GCSE, IGCSE, A-level, AS-level, IB, IELTS, CAE, FCE.

I can use a combination of skype and interactive whiteboard.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
My students achieve excellent results in their exams and often improve essay writing, grammar, understanding and exam performance in other subjects through applying what they have learned.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have 14 years experience as a teacher including 5 years teaching secondary English language and literature to IGCSE and IB levels (equivalent to A-level). I also taught English as a second language for over 7 years. I have been tutoring in the London area for the past year, taught Spanish in a secondary school and French at Kingston University. I am currently working with siblings and through recommendation from pleased parents. I am happy to provide references. In the past two years I have tutored GCSE English Language and Literature, IGCSE English First and Second Language and Literature, A Level English Language and Literature, KS3 English, French and Spanish, GCSE French and Spanish, EFL to children and adults, IELTS, beginners French and Spanish. I also work as a translator from French and Spanish into English and have lived in Central America and France.
