As an Artist, and having studied Fine Art and Design, I believe that studying and experiencing Art is for all - it is essential to the understanding of the ways in which human beings live and relate to their surroundings; from the most difficult philosophical or political enquiries, to the simplest and most trivial emotions of our daily lives.
To truly experience Art and to understand the immensity and vastness of the possibilities it proposes, one has to be in the middle of it. For this reason, my lessons happen in museums and galleries across the city, and try to navigate through the most significant moments in every period in history.
By observing art works, buildings and objects around us, we are able to build the necessary relationships between our bodies and the motivations and consequences of its presence in the world through art making.
Learning Art History happens through: exploring, questioning, plotting, creating, responding and, most importantly, relating to the world around us.
I have been supporting and teaching individuals in and out of education in both technical and theoretical subjects such as Fashion Design/ History of Art, Fashion and Design/ Drawing, Illustration and Art Theory.
Most recently I have been supporting group tutorials at MA level in Fine Art - contemporary art practices.
