I am a very experienced and highly popular international Mathematics tutor with over five years of tutoring behind me including for the International Baccalaureate.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
Primarily Mathematics (GCSE, IGCSE, A Level and IB) although I can also tutor some Physics and IB Theory of Knowledge too.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I am a graduate of University College, London (UCL) and also have a MSc. and DIC from Imperial College, London in addition to my professional teaching qualifications (PGCE in Mathematics). from Oxford Brookes University.
- How much do you charge?
Between 30 and 40 pounds Sterling per hour depending on the level required.
- Where do you teach?
I prefer to teach at the students' homes or in the public local library (in central Oxford where I am currently based). I would be willing to travel to nearby towns (for example, Reading or Banbury) for bookings of a longer nature or block bookings. Travel costs would then have to be included.
- When are you available?
In Oxford, I am available on Monday to Thursday evenings and on weekends and outside Oxford on weekends only.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach from ages 11 to 18. The levels I teach at include GCSE, IGCSE, A Level and International Baccalaureate IB (SL and HL) as well as AP Calculus (American Exam). I can also supervise IB Extended Essays, TOK Essays and also help with Mathematics Coursework at IB Level.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
GCSE, IGCSE, A Levels and IB (in Mathematics) & AP Calculus.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
The students can email me any questions and work required and I will provide the solutions and email them back. In addition, I am available to video conference with them via Skype , if they require.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have tutored students between the ages of 11 and 18 regularly for over 5 years on an almost daily basis both here and abroad where I worked as a teacher in an international school and was a very popular private tutor too.
