Methodology

Coming from a psychology background, my teaching methods enable students to understand topic thoroughly, remain patient and allow their voices to be heard. I believe it's extremely important to understand what type of learner each student is and adapt learning approaches based on their ability to retain and understand information. I understand how quickly students tune out and lose interest in what you are teaching, so I use frequent pauses to ensure students have understood what you have just been explaining. As a result, I often encourage student's to summarise the idea I have just espoused and provide short tests, or complete a problem using the skills I have just explained. I also encourage students to delve deeper into their learning, by introducing critical thinking methods just as homework and additional research assignments.
