Research methods was my favourite subject in my own Masters, so I am continuously looking for new methods and logical ways to teach verbal and non verbal reasoning instead of just filling in test papers after test papers getting stuck at the same score.
I try to vary resources, and use technology where needed. I don't want to make learning time taxing, children learn better when relaxed.
Treating exams and tests as problem solving exercises or puzzles helps them score better.

I use National curriculum as a guideline but am not limited by it.

Mrs Thanvi is the personal tutor to my son. My son enjoys coming to his study sessions with her. She is very caring and accommodating of my son. She is also kind and flexible with her time and teaching approach. Her assistance towards my son does not stop at the lesson. She has advised me on several extra-curricular activities to enable my son achieve the best academically.
My son would always come out of the lessons having worked very hard telling me of all the fun interesting conversations they had had about current affairs and anything they had seen or done.I completely trusted my son in her very capable hands and are very grateful for all her wonderful work and would definitely recommend her.
He felt totally prepared on exam day and came out saying it was not as hard as he thought it would be.
I have known Mrs Thanvi since October 2013 when she started 'tutoring' my daughter (aged 10) ahead of 11+ Exams.
Since then, she has worked closely with not just my daughter, but also with us as parents as part of the exam preparation.
She took time at the outset to understand what our objectives were, what areas of strength or weakness we though there may be, and to understand how we anticipated that learning process would develop.
