I being by asking students to analyse new pieces of literature at the start of tutoring sessions. Looking at language, structure, form and context, this is a good way for students to warm up before looking at set texts within their course. I use various forms of learning, including drawing, speech writing and will advise YouTube videos to watch as a follow up to our lessons.
I am an undergraduate at the University of Oxford, studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics. Although not studying English Literature at degree level, I have continued to remain active in editing and reviewing articles and journals within university societies. I obtained an A* in English Literature and English Language GCSE, and obtained an D1 (highest possible grade) in Pre-U English Literature. Pre-U is alike to the A-Level qualification but requires deeper understanding of literature throughout history, and is intended to be closer to degree-level work than A-level. I am thus competent at tutoring any level of English Lit or Lang from GCSE - Pre-U.
I charge £16 for GCSE level tuition and £18 for A-Level tuition
