Currently a post graduate student at the Royal Academy of Music, I am a passionate musician and a dedicated teacher. I am a good communicator and have a warm personality and a real passion for teaching music and for sharing it with others.

I teach all grades of violin and can support this with music theory lessons. I offer an express course in Grade 5 theory so that students can progress on to higher grades easily.

- How much do you charge?
My rates for violin and theory lessons are £13/half hour and £26/hour.
I often offer a trial lesson first so that I can get to know the pupil and they can get to know me and then we take it from there!
- Where do you teach?
I am based in Winchester and also in Central London. I am willing to teach both at my own home and at student's homes, whichever is most convenient .
- When are you available?
I am very flexible and can usually fit my other work around my teaching. I am happy to teach both on weekdays and weekends.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages and stages are welcome! I'm very comfortable teaching complete beginners as well as more advanced and mature students.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
If pupils wish to work towards grade exams, I prepare them for the ABRSM syllabus.

- What kind of experience do you have?
I have a BMus (Hons) and LRSM with Distinction and am combining professional playing with teaching whilst studying for my masters degree at the Royal Academy. I enjoy teaching the violin and have several private pupils that I teach in London and at my home in Winchester. I also teach on the National Prep Schools Orchestral course at Wellington College and have also taught at the RNCM junior department. At the Academy I am also enjoying participating in the 'Open Academy' department which involves working with musicians and composers on performance projects in schools in London.
In addition to my violin teaching experience I have a great deal of playing experience as first violin in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and more recently as first violin in the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra where I had a place on their professional experience scheme.

I have an up-to-date CRB Certificate from the Royal Academy of Music
- Where and with whom did you train?
I am currently studying with Sophie Langdon at the Royal Academy of Music having previously learnt from Thelma Handy (leader of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.)
