I teach methodically, and largely through explaining through the use of examples. I will set out a plan for however long I estimate I will be tutoring any given pupil and look to go through the necessary topics. However I am also very aware that pupils will struggle in differing areas and be very strong in others, so for me I use the plan as more of a guide and flex the teaching around that in accorance with the pupils needs. I also am very aware of the balance between efficiency and engagement, and I will often use "real-world" examples I have come across in my studies that allow the topic to be more engaging, especially when challenging a pupil.
