About the lesson
I believe that Ballet can be practiced by anyone, at any age. By learning while having fun, everyone is invited to engage in my friendly classes. For the little ones, every exercise starts with a story from our imagination and there is always space to be creative. For dancers in training, hoping to improve towards their examinations, competitions or weekly classes, I have planned some rigorous but patient classes that are shaped to the students' personal needs. For beginners - children, teenagers or adults - I have prepared flexible classes that will immerse you in the world of ballet and introduce you to its fundamental principles step by step.
I also own STUDIO B Ballet Academy, online classes for adults - no experience required - such as Ballet Beginners, Ballet Intermediate, Ballerina Training, Ballet Core, Progressing Ballet Technique and Ballet Stretch. Check my website: (concealed information)

The only time I had tried ballet I was six years old and hated every second of that class; so when Inês started giving dance classes online and I decided to try one, I was honestly just expecting to dislike it as much. Instead, with every movement and every exercise, I started having so much fun! Inês is a very patient teacher especially if you started from a zero-coordination body like mine! She never fails to acknowledge her students’ progresses whilst correcting us when we make mistakes, allowing us to progress in an organic and healthy way in our dance exploration. Starting to practice ballet as an adult sounds so hard, but trust me what I say this woman knows exactly what she’s doing, and she has made it the most exciting journey for me!
Inês is a very dear friend of mine, we’ve known each other for 5 years. She is a very kind teacher, very thoughtful, has a lot of pacience with her students, and she likes teaching, which is a very important factor.
I recomend her to everybody, and not just because she is my friend, she is the real deal when ir comes to teaching.Inês is an empathic person, gentle and enthusiastic about her work. She knows very well how to communicate and transmit knowledge and powerful tips to her students.
I’m glad I‘ve found Inês to teach me ballet :)Inês was an extremely attentive tutor that pushed me to improve while also respecting my limits and working with my time. She helped me for short period of time preparing for an exam which turned out to have very good results.
Inês is an excellent teacher. She combines sympathy and kindness with a rigorous teaching methodology. I have improved so much since I started learning from her!
I've had the pleasure of having ballet classes with Inês.
Despite me being a beginner, she was always patient and caring, correcting my mistakes, and complimenting me when I did something right in order to keep me motivated.
Inês is a positive, attentive, and dedicated teacher, and her love for ballet flows through her.
I personally recommend her, and I guarantee you'll be happy with your classes with Inês!I recently had a ballet lesson with Inês for the first time and I had an amazing time! Inês was very supportive and engaging, making us feel comfortable to try new things and not be scared to do mistakes. She is a very dedicated teacher who clearly loves what she does and teaching it to others.

What age did you start playing sport? Tell us about this time or moment in your life.
I started dancing ballet when I was six years old, after hearing all my Piano classmates telling me how much fun they were having in dance class. Since then, I never stopped dancing! I did all my Royal Academy of Dance examinations while learning Jazz dance and many other styles.
I then started teaching to be able to offer other children the same excitement I had in that first contact with dancing.02
What are your favourite sports; those that you practice at a high level, a simple hobby, and a sport that you'd still like to discover?
Dancing is definitely my favourite, as it is both a sport and a form of Art. I also practice Yoga, I do a lot of strength gym workouts and I enjoy jogging and walking. As a child, I tried swimming and horse riding, but nothing ever compared to dancing! One day, I would like to become better at playing Volleyball, which is a very interesting group sport.
03
What gives you the motivation and passion to pursue your sport?
The combination of artistry and discipline makes Ballet into a very complete practice. I am driven by the happiness of my students (both children and adults), by the effort that they put into their classes, by their passion and commitment. To teach is definitely the profession that gives me more joy!
04
Do you have a sporting achievement that you're particularly proud of?
A very special moment was when I received my first Vocational Level certification in Ballet - which allowed me to start my Teacher Training. However, I recall with a lot of love the day I was offered a place at the Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies at the Royal Academy of Dance.
05
How have your achievements and challenges made you a better sportsperson?
Adversities are our best friend when it comes to learning, so those not so good moments have enabled me to grow, to have a better perspective of the world around me and to adapt myself to the difficulties. The pandemic we are currently living is an excellent example of that: this terrible moment in history has prevented me to teach my students in person for the time being. That pushed me into starting to teach online and even to create my own online Ballet Academy: STUDIO B.
06
If you had to go for a jog with a famous athlete, who would you choose? And what questions would you ask them?
I would definitely go for a run with Marianela Nuñez, Principal Dancer at The Royal Ballet. I would ask her how she finds the right amount of hours of work to stay healthy physically and psychologically, how does she deal with her injuries, and what would she do on a self-care day!
07
How do you help people stay motivated?
A positive mindset is key for all stages of learning. It is also essential to adjust every class to the students I am teaching, to understand their pace and their abilities and to highlight the best of them.
08
What makes you a Superprof in sports?
My love for what I do is definitely what makes me work harder every day in finding the best approach, the most suitable method and the happiest smile for my lovely students! My classes are full of energy and positive feedback, respecting every student's body and mind. I believe that dance can be enjoyed at any age and it is never too late to start enjoying movement!
