- Which subject(s) do you teach?
English as a Foreign Language (EFL). This includes general English and exam preparation. I also do essay/dissertation proofreading.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have the Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA), the Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (DELTA) and a Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I also hold a BA in Cultural Studies and MA in Information Services Management.
- How much do you charge?
For English lessons at my home I charge £25 per hour. At a quiet location of your choice, I charge £35 per hour . Minimum lesson time = 2 hours.
£14 per hour for proofreading. This is equivalent to roughly 1200 words.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at my home in Tufnell Park. This is in zone 2. The nearest tube stations are Kentish Town and Archway or you can get buses 4, 390 and 134. I also teach at students' homes. I am willing to travel within zones 1-3 in London. One journey should not exceed 1 hour.
- When are you available?
I am available Monday to Sunday, although this will depend on existing bookings.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I only teach adults (18+).
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I can help with IELTS, TOEFL and Cambridge FCE/CAE/CPE exam preparation.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
I offer flexible 1-1 English language home tutoring. I can also proofread your essays. As a teacher, I believe I am friendly, patient, hard working and sensitive to students' needs.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching English as a foreign language since 2002 and have taught in Lithuania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Ukraine and London. I have taught all levels of general English as well as preparation for IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge FCE and CAE. Additionally, I have taught English for Business and English for Academic Purposes. I have experience of proofreading to PHD level and have worked on pre-sessional courses at Durham University and the University of Arts, London.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
No. I only teach adults (18+).
