About the lesson

Hi! I've just returned to Belfast after 7 years living in France where I taught English to children and adults, both privately and within schools, as well as offering English immersion holidays for French children. I also tutored teenagers in English and English Literature and succeeded in improving the student's results in schoolwork.

I speak French fluently and am now combining my experience as an English teacher and tutor with my language skills to help you improve your French, whether that be to prepare for exams, improve your accent or your listening skills, or just to practise your spoken French. I cater to all levels, but I particularly enjoy tutoring children and young adults as my method is all about having fun while you learn - the French call this 'ludique' as it makes learning much easier!

I can tutor from my sunny office at home in the Craigantlet hills, or can discuss arrangements to come to you, or conduct the lesson via Skype. We can follow your existing books if you are studying at school, or I can provide resources!

About Tanya

I've been teaching for over 12 years, from private one on one classes through to small groups of 6 students up to large classes within language schools of up to 25 students. I have prepared students for exams at school and for business, and have succeeded in improving students' schoolwork enabling them to move up a stream within the subject at school.

My students say I am a very patient teacher! And they enjoy learning in a fun way, as I like to make lessons interesting, engaging and practical and often tie in a fun activity or game as our brains work best when they are fully engaged and inspired!
