My teaching methodology depends on the age of my students and what the parents ask of me. If I am teaching a language to a beginner, I will start the lesson by talking about their day, week etc to help with their talking, then move on to a few written and verbal exercises I will have prepared and finish with a game that helps to memorize vocabulary. If I am giving lessons to a fluent speaker, I will first help them with homework, listen to their struggles and help them by giving them other exercises that will ease their difficulties. If they have tests coming up we will do revision sessions.
I am a bilingual student at UCL studying Linguistics and have been giving lessons in French and English and helping with homework, tests and passing exams such as GCSE or A Levels since 2017. I have also given lessons to beginners.
