Whether you are only just starting to learn to say 'Bonjour' or taking a lesson to pass your A-levels, I will be very eager to teach you French!
I think the most important when learning a language is conversation. That's why I would want to start speaking French with you- as well as getting you to speak French- as soon as the first lesson. I can of course switch to english if it is a necessity, but the more French the better!
Learning a language through culture too- books, films, music- is also very good. As well as learning the language, you will get a whole grasp of the culture which is even better!
I will of course adapt every lesson to the person I am teaching, depending on what your goal is, or what field you need to improve in- whether it be grammar, conjugation or literature- I am ready to help you with it!
I grew up speaking English with my father, and French with my mother, which means I am perfectly fluent in both. I spent all my life in London going to the French Lycée (where I passed my 'Baccalauréat' specialised in literature, languages and philosophy), before moving to Edinburgh to study History of Art. Even though I study in Edinburgh, I spend approximately half my year in the United Kingdom, and the other half in France so I am perfectly split between the two languages, cultures and countries. It is handful to be fluent in both languages when teaching in one of them, so that my students can understand me when I explain or translate a word, while still learning the language from a fluent speaker!

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
I very much enjoy interacting with people of all ages, and sharing my skills with them. My first experience in tutoring was teaching English to a 2 year old French boy which was very fun, and my last was teaching an English adult French, that was about to move to France! I have in between, had a myriad of students, looking to acquire different skills in the language and I have always been very eager to help them.
I have been working in a French campsite over the last two summers, which I have greatly enjoyed. I was given greater responsibilities this year, allowing me to interact more with the public. I particularly enjoy the social interaction and making people feel at ease. I was also put in charge of keeping the restaurant and campsite bathrooms. I have also been baby-sitting since the age of 16 as well as being responsible for large groups of children at parties.
I devote my free time to handicrafts - sewing, painting, knitting, drawing - and am keen to expand my skills in craftsmanship in all disciplines.
I have recently been buying second-hand clothes and objects and re-working them: adapting them, up-cycling them or simply decorating them.
