About Maria
My name is Maria Gallardo and I'm a first-year student at St Mary's University. I’m studying for a degree in Communications, Design and Marketing, and am looking for a part-time job teaching my native language, Spanish.
I was born in Spain, where I have lived most of my life, attended an American school in Rome for five years, and moved to London three years ago. These circumstances, amongst others, have led me to being fluent in both English and Spanish.
Before entering university, I attended for two years and a half the Spanish School in London 'Instituto Español Vicente Cañada Blanch' where I received lessons in both Spanish and English. During this time, I took the Spanish GCSE exam, obtaining an A*. Later on, at the end of my last year, I took the EBAU exam to get into university.
I also volunteer at a church called Holy Trinity Brompton, where I serve as a youth worker. This has given me plenty of experience with children/young people, which are the main audience I’m willing to tutor. However, adult clients are more than welcome.
