I approach my lessons by asking what topic/s the student would like to cover in the lesson, and what the particular problem areas are. I can then tailor the lesson to pinpoint and clarify what the student is struggling with. I like to use the recommended subject textbook as well as my own notes to aid the student in understanding the material, however I explain the concepts in an approachable and easy to understand manner. I often ask the student questions during the lesson to solidify concepts and ensure that they have understood.
