I believe that teaching works in two ways and there is no way that someone can learn if the person teaching them isn't willing to adapt their teaching methods to the student individually. This may be to match their own goals and aspirations or it maybe explaining a subject in lots of different ways until we find something that makes sense. I think if you expect a student to work hard you need to as well and be able to share a love for the subject
