I can tutor students in Biology and Chemistry up to A-level. I teach my classes in the format of specific exam revision, usually including past exam questions and model responses. For GCSE or A-level students, I will focus on the specific topics that the student finds most difficult and we will practice together thoroughly until they are hitting the top marks.
I am a biochemistry student at the University of Leeds. For A-levels I achieved 3 A*s in Biology, Chemistry and Maths so I can provide successful revision techniques and advice for students to reach the top grades. I am starting off online tutoring this year, however I have previous experience at my school where I tutored struggling GCSE students in biology, chemistry and maths.

2018-2020 Cerebral Palsy Plus
Worked as a lifeguard for a weekly family swimming club hosted by the CPP charity. The role involved: supervising the families while in and around the pool, taking constant risk assessments and acting immediately in the event of an emergency. This role allowed me to develop a great sense of responsibility and improved my observational skills. I was able to gain valuable communication skills as I formed connections with many of the regular families and made sure the children felt safe and comfortable. During the COVID-19 crisis, whilst the club was put on hold, I was asked to work from home to investigate hydrotherapy pools and their availability in the Bristol area. I also undertook online research to provide a list of useful resources locally available for disabled people and to keep in touch with the families during the crisis to see what support they required.
2017 Landor Associates
I completed a week of work experience with Landor at their offices in London. I was able to take part in meetings which involved brainstorming and planning of names and logos for new and upcoming brands. I also got to experience conference calls with some of the company’s biggest clients where these ideas were shared and discussed. I was able to watch the designers at work on their computers creating amazing art pieces to represent brands. This gave me a great insight into the importance of teamwork and communication in the workplace.
I am a highly self-motivated individual, who works hard to achieve results in whatever I do. I am a good communicator and have great problem solving skills. I had an excellent attendance record both at school and now at university, and I can always be relied upon to be punctual. I am a strong team player and proudly represented my school in netball, rugby and swimming. I intend to further my team skills by joining the swim team at university next year.
I’m passionate about fitness and health, so I am a regular member of a gym. I spend a lot of my free time here as I find it to be a great stress reliever and also a great way to meet like minded people with similar interests.
