I would recommend in person tutoring as I feel it is much easier to teach and to learn subjects when you are face to face rather than online. I believe and have been told by University Colleges that the way I talk about challenging/difficult subjects makes them vastly easier to understand to both people with or without prior biology knowledge. Teaching biology all rests on how the student learns, and through my higher education I have learned my subject both by writing vast amounts of information and by simplifying subjects in diagrams. I find both ways easy to teach and whatever way the young student learns I feel that I can be of assistance in furthering their knowledge.
I have just graduated from Heriot Watt University in 2018 with a degree in Biological Sciences (Human Health). I have been thoroughly interested in biology since my introduction to the subject in high school. I hope to one day pursue a career as a biology teacher and tutoring young students will be of huge help in achieving that. My degree did mainly focus on aspects of Human Health, however I have thorough knowledge on other related subjects including plant and animal biology.
I am quite happy to pay for travel myself and will add additional fees. However I do ask if I am to travel to Edinburgh, that it be for a 2 hour or longer tutoring session.
