I approach each topic by splitting it, based on the specification and the students own needs, into clear achievable goals. I will then teach the topic using a variety of different learning mechanisms and then allow consolidation of the lesson via past paper questions and home-made practise questions. I believe this approach ensures that the student will not only be able to recall the content but to actually comprehend it and thus apply it appropriately in exam settings.
I have a first class degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology from the University of Sheffield. I am now furthering my education by doing a masters at Imperial College. I tutored a family friend in Chemistry and allowed her to achieve an A* at A-level from a D in her first year of sixth form. I have plenty of experience working with teenagers due to extensive coaching of both Netball and Badminton over the last 5 years.
I have a cancellation policy of 24 hours for my lessons - if less than 24 hours the full price of the lesson must be paid.
