I am willing to give lessions to GCSE and A Level students, but may opt to degree level in the future. My way of teaching will be discussing the topics that are being found difficult, and practically and verbally teach the subject, ensuring its up to a good level of understanding by a quick few questions at the end . It is so hard to learn anything without understanding it first, and not all books are interesting! Next, I will ensure such is understood by having a verbal discussion on the subject which I hope will be quite interesting, before moving onto some practical questions. Furthermore, by staying updated on past papers, I will ensure that you are tested against likely exam questions as well as marking as the mark scheme specifies, looking out for key words or phrases that must be included!
I aim to teach in a friendly manner, as if a good friend is helping you out.
My name is Eleni and I am a third year Biomedical Science student (about to become graduate), and am on my way to a PhD. I have previously volunteered within secondary school classes, and currently volunteer in aiding those in first and second years of university. I have achieved a 1st class mark for both my first and second years, and am predicted to graduate with a 1st also. I also achieved an A in Biology at A Level, as well as GCSE. Through such, I gained last summer a great internship at Imperial College London! I thoroughly enjoy my degree and Biology in general, and would love to teach so.
Reduced rate for the first lesson (to see if you like me), reduced rate for GCSE students. Rates will go up by increased distance to travel. As a cancellation policy, I would like to know at minimum 24 hours before unless an absolute emergency, and will only be free of charge for the first cancellation.
