My teaching method is based on going through content in a way that the student will be able to apply that content to any other similar question. I feel it is more important to gain an understanding of the topics rather than just learn answers off by heart. My aim is for the student to develop a passion for the subject and not be afraid of any questions. I include a mix of textbook questions as well as past paper questions, and also create my own more challenging questions which once mastered would find any question doable. I think it’s important to create a safe environment where no question is a silly question.
I am a biomedical sciences student at the University of Bristol, and going into my final year. I was a straight A* student in GCSEs and A levels, and am now top of my year at university of Bristol. I am passionate about tutoring where the students will learn techniques and be able to apply knowledge to any problem thrown at them. I have tutored children from the age of 4 to 18, and they always improve significantly. I also feel that it is always more important to be able to talk through an answer rather than a student just be told what the right answer is, and for them to fully understand the mark schemes as well as develop a passion for their subject. Although I attend university in Bristol I come to London often, and love to enrich both my mind as well as another students.
