I appreciate that every student is different; my teaching methodology is to provide a lesson that will best benefit the student by tailoring it to their learning style. I am patient and compassionate, and I will make sure that in our class, we learn enthusiastically and with curiosity, instead of memorising words off a page.
I am a biomedical sciences student and I have been lucky to have had many opportunities in teaching and helping students in need. I am currently Project Lead for a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programme for refugee children, and we teach the children science in memorable ways, and provide homework and exam revision help. Prior to this, I have also had 5 years of experience teaching Myanmar refugees English and basic living skills (cooking, using money, etc), and I have also had the chance to run a Creative Writing class (Year 5 to Year 9) where I created the curriculum and run lessons where we learnt writing skills and analytical skills to read poems and plays.
