I can show anybody how to visualise and understand a piano from the most basic beginnings to advanced learning. Your development is down to your own dedication. I can help you get a massive amount of joy out of a great instrument and teach you how to read music too.
I've played the piano since I was 6 years of age & completed Grade 5 theory / Grade 8 practical when I was very young. I then achieved GCSE (A*) & A-Level (A) in Music studying at Wolverhampton Grammar School & followed this up with a BA in Music Composition with Professional Practice from Coventry University. Alongside my main jobs have been teaching piano for 19 years. My youngest pupil was 5, my oldest was 85! One of my pupils had epilepsy & severe ADHD however within 3 years he was as advanced as myself, as he listened to my advice & practiced accordingly. I also prepared pupils for ABRSM practical exams starting at Grade 3 upwards, all of which passed, some with distinction, plus I taught theory to a pupil so he could go on to his higher grades. I have helped various amateur songwriters by providing musical compositions/arrangements to compliment their songs & ideas on and off throughout my life.
I have also played in a covers band & we did rock, soul, funk and blues from 5 decades. This also involved singing as well as keyboards. I have been a solo artist at various stages, playing piano in restaurants & at weddings, as well as being a church organist for around 4 years. I have a deep passion for all kinds of music from Bach to heavy rock & current pop music, with everything inbetween!
