I have taught in multiple formats - large lectures, small group work as well as individual tutor sessions. I am particularly passionate about human physiology, in particular, cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology. I am happy to tailor topics to those required.
Medical doctor with experience working as cardiology and general medical registrar. Academic researcher with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals. Particularly enthusiastic to teach on cardiovascular topics including ECG interpretation, history-taking, examination and pathophysiology. Experience in undergraduate as well as postgraduate teaching.
I've known Alexander since 2006 and have always known him to be an excellent educator. Having previously been involved in a teaching project for medical students with him I know him to be keen, driven and always striving for his students to gain knowledge and more importantly the understanding of fundamental and complex topics alike. He has an engaging approach to teaching and can cater for all types of learner. I would highly recommend him to any potential student.
I have known Dr Alexander Carpenter during my 8 years of undergraduate biomedical and medical degrees. We continue to be close friends and colleagues. When I need help with my personal development, Alexander is the person I turn to.
During our time at university Alexander has always been keen to learn, teach and help those around him. He has already been involved in the development of multiple teaching resources for medical students and doctors. He takes a genuine interest in advancing medical knowledge and is currently in the process of an application for a PhD in cardiology. It should come as no surprise that Ali is the doctor other doctors turn to for a professional advice.
Alexander is passionate about education, funny, witty and I have no doubt will make a positive impact to trainees development.
