For drama school preparation, I focus on the dos and don't to begin with. There are a few things to avoid when applying to drama school. I'll then move onto looking at speeches - no matter how good you are at acting, it's important to pick the right speech for you. I can help here, with suggestions for both male and female speeches. I can also look at your existing ideas. Then we will move onto delivery of the actual speech. I'm also happy to read personal statements and offer advice on these.
For LAMDA exam preparation I will suggest suitable pieces for Communication, Shakespeare or Performance exams. I have received a lot of vocal training under top vocal coaches at drama school and in the professional world. I therefore like to focus on getting students' voices sounding well projected. I also like to draw on the student's own interpretation of the piece they are going to be performing for their exam, whilst checking their performance demonstrates this interpretation to a high standard.
One of our best tutors! High-quality profile, qualifications verified and response guaranteed. Francesca will plan your first lesson with care.
I obtained my BA in acting at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, one of the UK's top drama schools.
As a teacher I have my own business, (concealed information) which delivers group drama classes and private LAMDA preparation classes. I lead workshops in many capacities for schools, youth groups and stage schools focusing on varying disciplines such as Shakespeare, improvisation, puppetry and drama school preparation.
As an actress, I've performed in top UK theatres and for the BBC. I have also directed and developed work for Theatre West and am a member of the Young Vic Directors' Program. I know about drama school auditions and can advise you on the dos and don'ts, the speech choices, speech delivery and interviews as you navigate the exciting audition process.
I charge an extra £5 to travel within the London tube network and £10 to go further afield.

Manager/Teacher My own business, running drama classes for children and young people. The classes use drama techniques to boost confidence and enhance skills that are applicable to all areas of life and study. As well as Saturday classes, I provide workshops for youth groups and schools, tailor made to suit the needs of a specific group. For example I recently ran some workshops for a young carers group in Barnet.
In addition to group sessions we run private tuition in LAMDA and drama school preparation.

Perfect! Highly recommend Francesca to anyone that wants to progress their acting .
She is super helpful and has exceptional knowledge within the industry .Her flexibility and reliability was really great.
I have enjoyed teaching Melina - she is a dedicated actress with an natural flair and shows great potential.
Francesca is both reliable and inspirational. She has single handedly set up a theatre training academy in East London that strives to give children from lower income backgrounds the same access to the arts as their more privileged counterparts. Francesca approaches each lesson with a great deal of intelligence, creativity and passion and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to students studying at any level.
Francesca is a fantastic tutor. She responded quickly to my emails and was always on time for each lesson. She was extremely knowledgeable and provided lots of learning material to help me progress quicker than I had imagined. Highly recommended.
Francesca is a fantastic acting teacher and I couldn’t recommend her enough. She instantly makes you feel at ease and is really supportive.
