I am a fully qualified and experienced tutor with a passion for tuition across the primary curriculum. I structure engaging and creative programmes tailored to students' needs. I particularly specialise in preparation for 11+ common entrance.

11+, School Entrance examinations, primary English, primary mathematics, general primary, SATs and homework support. I also teach Music.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BA (hons) from the University of East Anglia, an MA from the University of Durham, both in Music and I have a PGCE (Primary) from the University of Gloucestershire.
- How much do you charge?
£25 per hour.
- Where do you teach?
I teach mostly across Truro and its outlying areas, St Austell, Redruth, Camborne, Newquay, Falmouth, Bodmin I teach either at your home or at my own. I also teach online via Skype and associated tools.
- When are you available?
I am available Saturday until 9.00pm Sunday late afternoon/evening and alternate Monday and Thursday. School holidays also catered for.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach primary-aged students from 8 - 12. I offer homework and general primary support as well as 11+ and school entrance exams.
As a qualified musician I also ABRSM Piano and Music Theory tuition and also offer all other aspects of music teaching on request.

I have a well set up Skype connection and use Idroo, a live whiteboard application, alongside a vast range of resources and more traditional teaching tools.

I approach my students as individuals and try to teach in a way that suits a student's own mindset. Fun and Flexibility are my keywords. As a result, I feel I can support your needs properly and in a thoroughly engaging fashion.

- What kind of experience do you have?
I have six years private tuition experience teaching 11+ and primary subjects across London with Greater London Tutors, Holland Park Tuition and City Tutors. Previously to this I have taught in schools, both as a general class teacher and a music teacher.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I have separate certificates, both as a member of 3 established London Tutor Agencies and as a musician employed by the HM Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace.
- Where and with whom did you train?
PostGraduate Certificate of Education from University of Gloucestershire, 2003.
BA (hons) and MA in Music from UEA and Durham respectively.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
I prepare my students methodically for a set purpose, usually secondary school entrance. I identify their needs and tailor sessions accordingly using a mixture of my own resources, standard readily-available material and past papers from a broad cross-section of sources. Students of mine have successfully achieved their goals and are now students at schools such as Tiffin School, Hampton School, Kings College School, Wimbledon and Christ's Hospital. I frequently prepare for multiple schools per student, encompassing Emanuel. Haberdasher's Aske's, Dulwich College, Kingston Grammar, Hampton School and many similar schools.
As a new resident of Cornwall, I am continuing my business in the same way.
