I believe in adapting teaching to suit the individual as much as possible, therefore it is hard to suggest a basic lesson structure. However I do try and make lessons engaging and hands on, with a range of kinaesthetic, visual and verbal learning. This might include encouraging a KS3 student learning about nutrition and healthy diet to go and create a healthy balanced meal, followed by a discussion of the foods included, for example.
I have experience with children from 5-16, in a range of mainstream and SEN settings as an Agency TA alongside my studies. This means I feel confident and comfortable working with any child, and ensuring their understanding and knowledge of the subject.
I have experience with a range of special needs including Autism, Dyslexia and ADHD. I have GCSE grade A in both Maths and Science, and a further distinction in a level 3 Diploma in Health (Biology and Chemistry).
