I like to use an array of blended learning techniques to make classes fun, engaging and informative. Empowering students to have confidence in their own abilities is my top priority, establishing clear goals and commitments from the outset. This facilitates their ability to take on board new information and creatively establish links between different topics; this fundamental skill of critical thinking takes time to cultivate, but once mastered will set the students up for future success in work and in life.
Currently aspiring to achieve a Doctorate in Psychology, I am seeking flexible work experience and part-time opportunities to teach and mentor other students progressing through School, College and University. I am passionate about coaching and mentoring young people, having done this previously with undergraduate and aspiring college students from a range of diverse backgrounds during my career at the University of East London. I’m highly skilled at quickly establishing a personal rapport with young people; having been involved with community engagement and school outreach projects, I’m able to empathise with many of the struggles – e.g. financial, social – that young people face in 2019, and have taken great care to familiarise with safeguarding protocol. I’m keen to support and motivate students to understand and engage with the topics that have both captivated and enlightened me throughout my educational career. My commitment to education (with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Psychology with distinction), combined with my diverse professional experience has enabled me to connect theoretical concepts to practical principles that serve to engage individuals engaging in study, and help them to appreciate the importance of learning whilst enhancing their employability prospects. Although my academic specialisms are Biological and Psychological Sciences, I am highly proficient in written and verbal English, maths and research methods. I am also passionate about health and wellbeing; as a qualified Pilates practitioner in my spare time, I like to promote positive physical and mental wellbeing through kinaesthetic learning. I also have an aptitude for creative writing, art and visual design, always striving to create a positive and engaging work environment. I have experience of coaching individuals through various different life and career transitions, having mastered these skills as a student occupational and organizational psychologist.

Rose is a very efficient, knowledgable and constructive teacher. Immediately puts you at ease and makes sure to make you feel entirely comfortable before starting a very well organised class - would highly reccomend.
Rose is a clear and confident communicator, and very knowledgeable tutor. Her classes are engaging, enjoyable and, most importantly, effective. I would highly recommend.
Rose is an excellent tutor who instilled confidence in me very early on. I am in my late 50s and she very soon rectified years of bad posture and improved my pelvic floor strength and back mobility. In addition she is patient, skilled and personable. Highly recommend.
Rose has always discussed psychology with me using academic rigour but explains herself in simple, clear terms. She also uses relatable and appropriate examples to back up her reasoning and advice. Would certainly recommend!
She is really engaging, knowledgeable and communicates clearly and concisely making it very easy to understand and learn. I can’t recommend her highly enough
