I have never taught before but wish to bring an open and welcoming teaching environment. My students would be able to come to me with any questions, and I would be willing to take on extra hours to ensure their best grades.
I am close to acquiring a 2:1 degree in Psychology but I also have a great passion for English. I acheived the highest marks within my school year for exam essay writing and would like to pass on these skills.

I am currently in my honour’s year at university studying psychology, with the eventual goal of becoming a clinical psychologist. Through my previous positions in a retail environment, I feel I work best in a high pressure, busy environment. I really enjoy being a part of a team and am a outgoing, approachable individual so would be a great contribution to a social, customer service-based job.

EMPLOYMENT
Whipped Desserts and Shakes (2016 – 2019) : In this role I worked in a fast paced, customer service based environment. This entailed serving customers through cooking and face to face service. This helped me develop the vital skills necessary to create a thriving workplace. I worked in a team and individually – both creating vital skills when aiming to create a high standard within the business. Throughout my time here, I was the keyholder for the business – this included opening and closing the shop, cleaning and prepping the business for the following day independently and ensuring cash was counted accurately at the end of the working day. While in the workplace, it was crucial that vital health and safety guidelines were met in order to create high quality produce. Having dealt with a wide range of diverse customers, I developed strong customer service skills which meant a high standard of service was maintained regardless of the customer. Difficult situations were approached in a professional manner which meant any issues were dealt with and resolved, maintaining trust with the customer and business. These skills are directly transferrable to many roles within retail and customer facing positions.
Nisa (June- September 2019) : Throughout my time here, I learned to upsell merchandise to meet and exceed store targets. I also experienced the mystery shopper method of maintaining store standards so ensured customer service was at a consistently high level in everything I did. Again, working as a team in this role was extremely important, an aspect I loved as I enjoy building friendships with colleagues – this in turn creates a positive working environment and inviting place for shoppers. Again, I regularly handled high sums of cash and used various till systems – these were closely monitored, meaning I gained confidence in my cash handling skills as accuracy was regularly achieved.
ACHIEVEMENTS
I learned crucial skills in communication through public speaking situations throughout high school and university. These included presentations to a large number of listeners on a variety of topics, this gave me self-confidence and the necessary communication skills that can be transferred to a public workplace. It helped me develop skills in thinking on my feet – crucial in retail.
Through my time at university, I’ve really developed my skills with regards to time management. Time management skills in retail are extremely important, especially in busy, fast paced environments. Through these skills, I have learned to submit and finish projects on time, but consistently maintain a high standard. This is important when working with deadlines in retail – efficiently and quickly whilst upkeeping standards and goals set.
Working in environments with a diverse range of customers has helped build my social skills in the workplace. An example being my previous role in Nisa – dealing with challenging customers, intoxicated and sober, helped build patience and the ability to maintain a polite demeanour in tough situations. This is important in retail and customer service-based roles as it maintains a high level of service whilst under pressure.
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
I am a very social person, so I love spending my time with friends and family. I’m really keen on social media – I use this to keep up to date with my interests, one of which being sports. I’m interested in a huge variety – mainly football, tennis and Formula 1 amongst others. I am super enthusiastic about music, regularly attending events from a variety of artists.
