Methodology

I have a very broad and deep understanding of Business subjects based on my 17 years teaching experience and 11 years banking experience together with a very strong desire to stay abreast pf my subject. I am able to contextualise lessons using businesses of my students choosing and I am able to teach students the skills required to pass exams based on my experience as an examiner

Background

Seventeen years’ teaching experience in Business, Economics & ICT up to A level, teaching students from a range of backgrounds with varying levels of motivation, behaviour and needs.
Additionally, ten years’ experience in an educational management role: focusing on the academic attainment, behaviour and needs of a year group of 254 students and leading a team of 12 tutors; together with seven years’ experience marking and assessing the marking of other teachers at GCSE and A level.
Having strong interpersonal skills, I am confident, outgoing and assertive with an ability to engage with students leading them to willingly follow my direction. I have a versatile skill set with experience in management, customer service, motivation, mentoring, training, teaching, sales, written communication, oral communication, presentations, research, cash management and Microsoft Office. I have a Business Degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
I have gained management, teaching, sales and customer service experience in education together with eleven years’ training, sales and customer service experience in retail banking.
